I have been thrown LITERALLY into the fire (2-10-14)

Bom dia!

So just as the title implies...I am melting down here.  I think the only thing that is keeping my weight from not dropping drastically is the HUGE lunches we have and all the freaking biscoito I eat.  SO GOOD!!!  It has been like 40 to 43 celsius (104-109 degrees F).  And I don't know what that is in farenheit but it is pretty stinking hot.  Ad it isn't like in Louisiana where it is hot and you are like, "oh let's cool down in that walmart."  NO there is almost no AC here.  I walk from tree to tree, and that is how I survive.  And I have decided that at the first rumor of a zombie infestation I am going to Brasil, because everything has tall metal fences with barbed wire at the top. haha.

But this week was good, I had my first drunk Brazilian experience and also my first Brazilian cheek kiss experience.  SO AWKWARD!!!  But I didn't break any rules and did not participate!  But this investigator that tried to kiss me came to church, this actually happened at church, and she loved it!  And she has a baptism date of the 22nd so that is exciting.  And we have still been teaching Vinicius and Jessica and we taught about the gospel of Christ and the law of chastity, and it wasn't awkward!  Even though they are living together unmarried and have a 1 year old daughter.  Jessica is actually going today to get the process started for obtaining a marriage license!  They have a date of the 1st of March!  Vinicius wants me to baptize him!  Then we taught this 9 year old Lorenzo.  His whole family is less active and he has a date too, but I think that we should try to get the family reactivated first so that it is easier for him to come.  His Grandma has a strong testimony.  I don't know why she is less active.  She has cried in the 2 lessons that we have taught Lorenzo.  Well that is about it from the spiritual side of things.  Actually false, we are going to the temple on Wednesday so that will be sweet!  We are going as a zone all 2 districts...haha.  So that will be super sweet.

I am sorry that I have no pics.  It is so hot that I have no motivation, but there is some sick paintings on the sides of buildings that I need to get pics with.

And sad realization of the week.  When I come back to the States I will no longer like soda, because American soda is artificial garbage and Brazilian soda actually has real sugar and real juice in it.  Even Coke is good here.

Well that is it from the country of Brasil.  You know that you are in Brasil when everywhere you go you hear the radios playing the soccer fame of Gremio and International (the 2 soccer teams in Porto Alegre) haha.

I love yall.  Eu amo voces.  And stay classy!  Fica tranquilo!
