Ola meus queridos!
So this week was conference. And it was a pretty good conference, at least from what I understood. The translators talk really fast so I can only catch like a sentence or two. But that is okay. Since my trunkie companion takes forever during emails I will watch them again, and the Priesthood session, in English. We couldn't go to the Priesthood session because it is at 9pm here. But my favorite talk was Uchtdorf's talk on gratitude. And it is NOT because he is my favorite. It is because it was the one that I understood the best haha. But the talk by the member of the 70's with the crazy last name (Elder Aidukaitis) during the Sunday afternoon session is Brazilian!!! He recorded his talk beforehand in Portuguese, so that talk was not by a translator, but I don't know what it was about haha!
Other than conference we had somewhat more success than that of past weeks. We found 3 new investigators! So that was sweet. And all 3 of them have met with the missionaries before. So they already have an idea of what we are talking about and one has a date of the 26th for baptism! So that is sweet. And she is already legally married!!! So that is a gold mine in and of itself. But other than that not much happened other than rejection and cancelled appointments. Nothing new there! haha
I am sorry but I don't have pictures this week. Nothing exciting has happened lately. I bring my camera everywhere, but nothing cool has happened. But I may be transferred next week so I may be taking pictures with my peeps here in Intercap.
Well that is it from this slice of heaven known as Brasil. yall tem um a boa semana e um bom dia! Eu amo yall.

Proxima Vez Conquistaremos (3-31-14)
Oi Meus Queridos,
This week has been a good week, even though the terrible roller coaster of hot then cool then hot again has started here. I don't like it. And what is worse is that March Madness is coming to an end and no one cares here haha. The only thing that matters here, sportswise, is soccer. Which brings me to the title. So yesterday there was a game, but it was a special game. The 2 teams here played.....GREMIO!!!!!!! and International (BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO). So this city turned into a ghost town. But I could hear the radios haha. And every time a goal was scored a ton of fireworks went off and the whole city shouts with joy, or extreme anger and hatred haha. Well the final score was 2 to 1 International. sigh. MAS NOS VAMOS CONQUISTAR!!! PROXIMA VEZ!!!
So Mateus has a new date for baptism. It is in May haha. We gave him a ton of time to quit smoking so I think that he will make it! And he came to church yesterday. Which was way awesome because he was way tired! But when he got to church he didn't have a desire to sleep! MIRACLES!!! Other than that we haven't had much success with investigators. We got dropped by a few. No one wants to get married! QUE ISSO!?!?!? But we don't let this get us down! We push on!!
And funny story of the week. So we were talking with Carlos Alexandre and his wife Elaine (the same place I take the pictures of all of Porto Alegre) and we were talking about winter. And they think that I will be a wimp and think that it is super cold. They say that it gets to be -2 celcius (28 degrees fahrenheit) with lots of humidity and some wind. And you are always cold because you have to be made of money to have a heater or AC here. So granted, it is going to be cold. BUT, as I have told them before, NOTHING WILL BE COLDER THAN THE WINTER OF 2013 IN LARAMIE, WYOMING!!!! haha. They don't believe me haha.
Well that my friends is all I got. But I did take some pictures!!!!! AND THERE IS MUCH REJOICING!!! So enjoy those. Eu amo voces. Fica tranquilo! And you stay classy.

Boa Tarde meus queridos!
This week has been a hard week. We have been going through our ward roster and trying to meet more members in our area because, as I later learned, Elder Thiago and I like visited NONE of our members. So we are trying to change that. And we have had one awkward event happen with this. We go to the house, knock the door, actually clap our hands at the gate and a person answers. We ask if this person is home and he answers, I'm his brother and he is dead.......WHAT DO YOU DO TO ANSWER THAT!?!?!? So that was awkward. And I also saw a dead dog on the sidewalk, that was fun. And we have done alot of tracting here, and that is where the title comes from. I have never noticed before but a lot of the time we say we have a message and we ask their name they say, I have my own religion. It is kind of funny. Sometimes I want to say "Nice to meet you Ihavemyownreligion." But I don't. It is kinda funny.
Miracle of the week. WE FINALLY SAW LUANA and GLEISSON this week! We taught them the proclamation to the world (on the family), which went well. She is all for marriage and he is like HARD PASS!!! But we asked him to pray about it and that if the answer was to get married will you do it? And I like his answer, "I think I already know the answer" haha. It is like Elder Ballard's talk about missionary work and praying for it haha.
And a sad note, Rose dropped us. Even after bearing her testimony IN SACARAMENT MEETING that she knows the church will help her in her life. QUE ISSO!!! Sometimes I hate when people receive an answer and they look the other way.
Well that is it from Brasil. Enjoy the pictures I took at a members house where we had family home evening on Saturday, which also went well. Gosh darn it Brazilian cake is so good.
